Nope, never.
Take that same budget and use it to take your 10 best clients to lunch over the next 5 weeks; that will pay off more than shopping carts. Unless you have a branding budget? Money goes out, ROI is minimal but branding is accomplished. I've never bought anything from anyone on shopping carts, bus benches or receipt tape.

No never on shopping carts or bus benches. They get covered up and at the grocery, everyone I know is in a hurry to get out of there,

Spend your money somewhere else - been there, done that (2008, I believe) and it didn't bring a dime!

No... these really don't work. It's a revolving sea of faces in my supermarket because agents find they don't work. I'm not in a supermarket myself to shop for an agent and their faces just become "background" noise.

They call me trying to sell the service to me all the time, and I know other agents who have done it. Haven't heard if its successful though.

Tried it. One of the worst marketing decisions I ever made even though I know of success stories. Fool me once....

Many stores have shopping carts both in the farm and near the farm.

I recently was surprised to see a local attorney marketing himself on a grocery store shopping cart... I think it 'cheapened' him...

What will the message be that can attract the attention of a buyer BEFORE they block the display with those Brawny paper towels.
IF you are simply branding, you are flushing the money.
What is the conversation these shoppers are having with themselves?
There are blackhat ways to get that data or you can guess, experiment and test. EDD is a good white hat way to execute such a test.
Please don't consider 'Buying? Selling?" or "FREE CMA" as a good message for a shopping cart.

No. I was approached by a company who asked if I wanted my face plastered all over the shopping carts (well, that's not exactly how they worded it) and I could just see one of those carts careening down the grocery shopping driveway, smashing into a car, and guess whose face that driver would see?
No thank you.

Depends on cost, most often could be better spent on targeting a market instead of a wide fishing exhibition

William - No, I would never spend my marketing dollars on this option. I did know an agent from my first office that did it for 2 years and never got a lead off of it. There are much better ways to get your name in front of people, in my humble opinion.

Years ago my office talked with someone who's face owned every shopping cart in the city (we only had one or two markets then). She had been on there for as long as anyone could remember, many years. She never once got business from it, but when she would door knock, cold call or show up on a listing appointment people would have name and face recognition from the carts. She claimed that helped her get a few clients.

I believe that they do have carts at most of our stores, why do you ask?
