I hate to use this word, but it depends. If it is 15 degrees or colder, I warm up my car for my wife also. You are really not supposed to warm up cars though

Sometimes. it's legal here, but parts of MD it's illegal to leave your car running unattended in a driveway because it's an invitation for car thieves.

Here in Tampa Bay, a citizen felt the need to warm up the car.

The local law enforcement issued a $169 ticket for reckless operation.

Justification was leaving cars unattended encouraged car theft.

Add to that is is also unlawful to engage in acts of compassion such as helping those without food and throwing a ball in a park.

Illegal here to leave car unattended outside while warming it up.

My car is kept in non-heated garage. Warm up usually not needed unless very cold temps, near or below zero.

I use Marvel Mystery Oil® additive for easier cold weather starting.

I always warm it up.... put the heated seats on.... have it at 75 degrees inside the car.... and that takes a few minutes....

My mechanic boyfriend that can fix anything says that warming up your car (even in hot weather) is the best thing you can do for your engine. My car even has a light on the dash that goes off when the car is warmed up.
