I always say Merry Christmas, even if it's in response to someone wishing me Happy Holidays.  People who don't celebrate Christmas should get over themselves if they're offended by a sincere greeting.

I have found the words Merry Christmas seems to be making a comeback and I love it!

If you are afraid to say Christmas, then why celebrate it.

I do say Merry Christmas ... however I do use both.  

Ho Ho HO Happy HO-lidays.  

I make a point of saying Merry Christmas, since it is Christ's birth we are celebrating!

I say Merry Christmas, unless I know definitively that someone is not Christian and does not celebrate Christmas, but another holiday such as Hannukah.

Merry Christmas and I've never met anyone that was offended by it. If someone wished me Happy Hannukkah in Israel or Dia De Los Muertos (day of the dead) in Mexico, I wouldn't take offense. I don't understand how people can be so sensitive that a stranger's greeting causes them harm. Particularly when those people are still willing to take advantage of Christmas sales, Christmas break, Christmas bonuses, etc.

Ginger Harper - I know this is 'touchy' - and I am okay if someone says 'Merry Christmas' to me - even when we do not celebrate Christmas.

I always say Merry Christmas.... unless I know the person is Jewish, then I'll say Happy Hanukkah... 

I prefer to say Merry Christmas.  Most people understand that.  I have yet to have an offended person from it.  If I did, I'd just tell them that Christmas is a day and I'm wishing them a happy one.

If I know someone is Jewish, I wish them a Happy Chanukkah instead.

I say and accept all forms of good wishes from one person to another! Happy Holidays when I do not know the person well, Merry Christmas when I do.
