Ken Jones and I are on the same wavelength, phone numbers are often fake unless the interest is real.

A lead from Daisy Duck with a fake number isn't even a lead.  

I upvoted Ken Jones - this is the way I operate.  I used market Leader which forced sign up after 2-3 times.  Most info was bogus and some profain. So I customize everything now. If I can't contact them either with an email or phone number, it isn't a lead. 

Not sure what is defined as a lead. However, using my definition:

On the sites that I require a phone number, 100% - 15% of them are bogus though.  So, net-net- 85% can be reached by phone!

Only about 20% have phone numbers and if they give me one, they get a call.

Yesterday I got one 555-555-5555. My question is are the numbers that are listed are they real. 

About 65% of my Internet leads do not include a phone number.

Most of mine do have a phone number. 

Most do include a phone number.  I got a contact request last weekend. Phone number was missing a digit. I emailed and they immediately provided the full number. It was just an after midnight request and I suspect the person was tired and just missed a number. 

I force the phone number request, though I do get some bogus numbers, but surprisingly few.

our listing leads have a phone number plus a home address and an email address.... some provide details about the home....

Not many anymore.  We require a phone number for those registering on our website. Sometimes, however, they are bogus.

I don't track useless data but i do put every lead into mls updates even if they look bogus. I put 'bugsy' in there a couple of years ago, no last name and no phone number. I will be showing him houses in the $350K range next week. Somtimes they are not bogus and it only takes a couple of minutes to set them up.

You can't judge a lead by it's looks. Oh, and bugsy does have a real name, which I now know, but his nickname is bugsy.

Most. I get maybe 5%-10% with numbers. However then it's the opposite of course off my TEXT for most Info signs on my listings. Nature of the beast you're working with I suppose. Its only 12% of my business so I give it the effort but my main focus is my database.
