"the eye buys" and it MOST DEFINITELY DOES attract more attention... and then, if the price is right and the description says JUST ENOUGH to make them call, they WILL CALL....

Steve,

Your question is about more hits and views on sites like z and mls.

The question to ask is 'Does a home buyer or seller know/searching or in anyway pre-select properties based on the presence of a drone created image?"

The answer is NO. The result they see is based on price and house attributes and location. After that, they get what the get.

Does Goggle favor VIDEO, especially YouTube hosted Video. YES. However, once more 'drone' is not part of the selection.

Unless one chooses to market drone capability as a strategic advantage directly to home owner/sellers  there is no practical or honest measure of advantage of droning on the consumer side or Internet relevant side of the business.

Reduce the outcome to video influence and the answer would be differant.

I don't know but I'm sure that it would. If you have a very stately large home or one with a view on acreage or a lake it would HAVE to up the appeal factor.

Better than a view from the roof right?

Unless it's the lead shot, I'd say no.  The thing that is going to get a listing more clicks is the opening shot.

Yes I would think it was definitely grab more attention and views. But will it sell the property? Still has to show well and be priced appropriately. Certain properties will be prime for this, such as oceanfront

Does a staged house have a greater advantage than a vacant? I believe the goal is to attract as many potential buyers as possible. If a drone or video brings more attention to the listing...then why not?

I think all new technology such as drones  grabs views curiosity. The big question is will and it wear off  or become the standard in the future?

Drones are a great tool, but they aren't the definitive answer.  I bought a Matterport camera and a drone in November for the tax write off and the differentiators for listing appointments, since I know most of my competitors still use their cell phone for photos!

The drone coming in across the water of a big lake and elevate, lift to just clear the waterfront property listing, video with sight and sound pulled into the engagement connection always has good results. Video, the most misunderstood, under used heavy hitter in the marketing toolbar bar none.

You have multiple questions in your question.  I have no idea about Zillow and similar sites since they do not operate in our great nation.  Photos and videos can provide advantages if they are appropriately edited and composed.

Not in my view.  Drone video helps when the property is huge with lots of land.  For a standard tract home out here, they are a total waste.

The views you can get on the property are great and this is an advantage for some properties...not all of them. I don't know if the photos actually bring about more attention and hits.

Great photography is essential to sell real estate.  If drone videos and photos show the property better than traditional photography, than by all means it is extremely valuable and will show the property the best way possible. It makes your seller realize that you are doing your best to market his/her listing to reach the most possible buyers.

Steve,

If it is poorly done it will not give you a strategic advantage and the same goes if it is well done.  Facebook did a recent survey on video viewing, and those numbers are very low.  They were advised by their experts to not go against Youtube, but they are
