Interesting question. Do you feel AR has slipped and not what it use to be?

  AR is already great!

A few tweaks might help, such as a separate Q&A board for Utah real estate students.

There should be an index where people can easily search topics and see if there's already been a question posted that they can look to for answers.I've been in here for a little over a year now and have a decent memory. Lots of repetition here. And not just the kids.

As they say negativity breeds the same; that would be a start!

There are still quite a few good posts and questions so the forum in the long run will succeed!

The RIGHT CHARLOTTE REALTOR!

During the recession, we were all involved to the max!  Now that business has gotten better for most, it's not as 'active' as it once was but, I still feel the support from the members and the great SEO that we get from this site.

I took some time from here to re-work my own business and found that my site was missing some of the SEO boost that I used to get from AR. Since my (active) return to AR, my website's SEO is back up to par and I'm thrilled with that aspect of it.

As for the bugs - it's always a work in progress and they'll be 'fixed' before we know it!  (And, of course, new ones will rear their ugly heads but, such is life running a very active website!)

There area some really good posts that never get shared or picked up by the newsletter. The other day I posted in our FB Group AR Peeps.

It's getting harder & harder to find good material on the blog roll. I don't know how to help that.

I haven't noticed a lack of greatness here. Like any large platform, there will be participants who are great, do great things, say great things and those who don't.

Easy, get rid of the whole point system.

It was fun in the beginning, but now half the Q&A is about points; did they post yet, why didn't I get point for logging in, ridiculous & redudant answers to the questions just for more points.  It should also cut down on blog clogging.

Then maybe people will contribute when they have something important to say or feel passionate about.

I think AR operates pretty well for a social media site frequented by competive minded individuals. The disagreements are kept to a minimum or taken off the site, or handled professionally on site. Overall I think most everyone plays well in the sandbox.

Really with about 300,000 members, I think AR is doing very well and is a very professional place to hangout, share opinions, stories and ask for help.

We continue to promote it, continue to have & attend meetups, continue to blog, and continue to support each other.

AR is already great --- but like everything, as it grows, it's sure to become diluted

I'm still not sure why we have a Q&A section --- it has diluted the site in my opinion, though I do think there are some relevant questions and I've used the Q&A section myself quite a bit.  But the ease & speed has certainly drawn attention away from blogs.

I think one HUGE change that AR could make is to take the focus AWAY from the real estate agent ---- we have hundreds of thousands of great agents here, but it would be nice to have more insurance agents, title professionals, attorneys, escrow agents, and other 'industry' professionals here to learn more, network better, and use AR as not just a blogging platform, but a business & networking platform.
