I think that if you're going to send out cards, you are better off using pretty note cards with you own hand-written message. You capitalized Send Out Cards, and if you did this because it's a service that will do it for you, it comes across as fake and doesn't really do the job.

I don't... I believe they market themselves as "personalized" cards, but I've received some over the years and to me they look anything but personalized. I buy cards from NoteCardCafe and write "real" personal messages in them and hand-address envelopes.

Okay, so this is going to sound snarky - I have two professional networking partners who use them and every time they arrive, I just feel like I was spammed! They're not personal and those sending them out are typically the assistants...
I give heartfelt, so I expect heartfelt!

Hopefully no one. Send Out Cards was a GREAT idea BEFORE everyone started sending auto-generated cards. Now it's just tacky.
A hand written, personalized note is the way to go ---- the feedback is tremendous.

We never have used a commercial service. We prefer personalized cards with notes to our clients in holographic writing.

Malissa Crawford - I know for sure Michael Mahoney uses it, along with few others. And I believe, he likes it.

I do not. I do not feel they are very personal. I use my own cards for thank you notes.

I do not but know a number of people who do. I prefer to do handwritten even though it's more work

I agree with Patricia Kennedy that personal notes handwritten are most likely to get a response.

I with Patricia Kennedy . Send out cards are nice and convenient service but I personally prefer personalized note card.
If you are doing mass than go for it. I have heard nothing but positive feedback from agents who use them.

I have looked into this service, but in the long run decided to do this on my own. I like the "personal touch" of going my way.

Wow, I am using send out cards and having a blast. I used to think the same thing as most who have answered here, not very personal. But not any longer, in this age of facebook and instagram it is so easy to grab a picture of your friends, put it on a card and send it to them, it could get more personal. People thank me for the cards, post them on facebook, and I'm sure they are going up on refridirators and getting framed. I had a friend call and thank me for a card recently I sent him. He was totally blown away when he received a card with a picture of him and his wife kissing on a bridge, he hadn't even seen the picture his wife had posted on Facebook. He just loved it, couldn't get more personal. I can't say I've gotten any business from it, but I know I will, and I ham having fun sending out cards.

Praful - Thanks for tagging me on this post...I use the products. It's pretty good for followup. I have it so it sends a holiday card to a client or past client about every 40 days. It costs me about $6.00 per client for the year.
It works pretty....

I did and think it does have certain applications but I quickly stopped using it and readily have a pile of cards available to write and mail myself. Honestly, it's easier AND nicer! Just discipline yourself to get it done and leave a website out of it. ;)

I like the personal touch, but I can see that there are times that it would be handy to send through this company. I like that you can include a brownie or other gift.

What is your intent regarding those cards?
To often agents succumb to 'check off marketing' to convince themselves they are accomplishing something. It is better than doing nothing, but unless you have a real and measurable purpose, you must recognize SOS when you see it.
IF the Send Out Cards menu of product includes any from of a recipe cards, you are falling into the Shiney Object Syndrome trap. This is usually accompanied by the words, "If you get just one transaction it has paid for itself' the sales pitch of a product that has NO MERIT.
There is one post card company that does have merit.
I recommend you do a few searches on Big G for 'real estate + direct response marketing' and the company of merit will appear on the list.
