Tony and Suzanne Marriott, Associate Brokers I heard a while back that the FAA wanted drone users to some kind of pilot certification to operate one. So it makes sense that someone having a Private Pilot License would be able to get an exemption.

Tony and Suzanne Marriott, Associate Brokers - that is good to know. There is something similar offered at Drone Summit - not sure what that is, though.

No, you don't need the 333 anymore. Everyone, including pilots need to take the test for getting a Drone operating license. 107 is a written test and will cost $150., plus the cost of licensing the drone. It was discussed in a panel at the NAR Conference by several of the people in the know.

Since I have a fear of flying I'm in trouble.

I'm not sure why but OK. They are taking this drone thing way to seriously.

No. However, the FAA does not have jursidiction in our great land.

Yes, I did. Way before the drones become "the" thing, many of our clients had licensed pilots doing their photos.

Yes. I will have to go into the FAA Directory to pull my license number. Still though, the prices on drones needs to go down. and unless a large parcel, we haven't had any potential sellers, or buyers for that matter ask to see an aerial video. Tough to justify!

Since I live in a no-fly drone zone, it doesn't matter too much.

Yes, I did know that because one of friends who is a pilot went through this for his drone.

Yes! I knew that. Pilots understand safety and FARs so they will apply this knowledge to flying a UAV.
