Sellers will sell and buyers will buy in December. Last year December was busy out here. It was the early spring when things suddenly died, and that's the usual start to the buying season. Very odd year last year.
If the seller is going to have the home not too overly decorated and will make it available for showings w/a keybox, go for it! Job transfers typically buy in December so they can start work in January.
