I cry a lot. Mostly on selfie videos. Then I start looking for a safe space.

There are some people I adore IRL who I don't connect with via social media, by the way.

Richie Alan Naggar are we alerted? I don't think I'd even know if I lost a follower? I don't keep track of my number enough to "catch it". I do notice  my follower number when I hit a milestone though, like hitting "300". I guest the round numbers catch my attention more.

However, I tend to take polarizing positions in my posts, so I expect I'd lose a few along the way. I focus on who adds on.

I have left a few blogs this year, based on that person's poor behavior on AR. I would not leave a blog because I differ in opinion, I like debate, it's how I learn and sharpen my craft.

(I don't care who you vote for, pray to nor sleep with, just don't be an ass about it or in general). Yes, a person's poor character causes me to leave their blog as a follower, not a difference in beliefs..

I do not even track them.  Immune.

#1. There is no way to know if one loses a follower on Active Rain. Especially with all the wonkiness going on within the AR system.

#2. Some forums such as FACEBOOK, like to use this social validation element to distress their users. It is truly EFFECTIVE when they label followers as FRIENDS. No one likes knowing others don't want them as a FRIEND.

#3. We are a society who knows nothing about being a friend.

#4. My reaction to losing a follower?
"My God, I don't know why anyone would follow me anyway!"

Nothing, and not one of the 1000 people I defriended on facebook this year have noticed either.

      I honestly don't keep up with how many Followers I have on ActiveRain.  As for Twitter and other sites, if they leave, I remove them from any lists, then block them.

I actually do not pay attention Richie. Probably are not writing about what they are interested in.

Not sure that I ever know. Do we ever get notified? I don't think so. I'can't control it and if someone were to unfollow I assume they have a good reason, and that's OK

I am honored when someone follows me but, honestly, I wouldn't know if someone unfollowed me.  How does one even have time to keep track of such things?

It depends on the circumstance Richie Alan Naggar.  If it's on FB, then I don't even blink an eye, though if it's one of my clients in real estate I would want to know 'what changed', especially if I have no clue!, and would hope with a conversation that they might return . . .
