It means stick with what you know... don't be giving advice and opinions outside your realm of knowledge or ability.   I don't know who said it.    

I believe it means to stick to know what you know how to do.  I have heard people say it to each other over the years in jest. It might apply to real estate when agents try to sell out of their geographical area or out of their area of expertise.

I remember my grandmother saying this when I was a child. It was supposed to be more diplomatic than saying "Mind your own business". Never thought about relating it to RE though.

Don't know it's origin but did find this via Google in an 1828 version of an English & Welsh Dictionary, volume II where the phrase Mind your own knitting is defined as Mind your own business. With regard to real estate I believe that definition is self-explanatory.

Stick to what you know how to do best? Trying to do so many things in the same time is not beneficial for your business, being able to delegate to those you trust is.

Michael J. Perry I would guess it means stick to what you know best and stay out of areas you know nothing about. Don't know who said it. As a commercial real estate broker, read Article 11 of the NAR COE's.

I would say it means to stick to what you know. As far as those over paid Hollywood type and singer, they are so far from reality they should have heeded the warning. It would be nice if they felt the boycotts of their music shows and merchandise.

I've never heard this expression but I had the same thought as Raymond E. Camp as to the meaning.
