No, I haven't and have never really had the desire to do so. Managing all those agents is a bit like herding cats in my opinion!

Yes and perhaps again in the future, but I did tire of chasing and policing agents to follow protocols. Sell? The offer was too attractive to pass up.

I own mine now.  It is small and independent.  I didnt like the fees of the big box outfits.

Have owned a consulting firm for nearly 30 years, no plans to sell or close at the present time.

I have never wanted the responsibility nor the headaches to own a brokerage.

I haven't but am thinking about being a broker in the future.  Also as an agent I'm quite selective in finding a broker. I'd like my broker to be knowledgeable and not just someone who passes the broker exam with very little industry experience.  I've come across some brokers with very little knowledge and some are unethical. Also, I would prefer a broker who is a little flexible instead of someone who is very regulated and policing all documents and even your commission checks. I've moved to a few brokerages and obvously left those who were not a good fit.

Sold the brokerage and moved.  In order to maintain our high standards we found that we were micro-managing and spending too much time educating and putting out fires.

We now have a small buyer agency office with just our daughter.  I cringe at the thought of having agents again.  Life is easier and the money is better.

No, I haven't. But it's in my future plans, my family keeep pushing me to open my own brokergage firm.

I did for 10 years. The money isn't in owning the brokerage, it is in selling real estate. 

I am an independent boutique brokerage.  I would likely not sell however find a trusted agent to refer future business to for a fee.

Yes I have had a sole proprietor brokerage when it was the best avenue and managed for others when it fit the bill!
