Fayetteville, AR. home of the Razorbacks. When they play a home game the town is totally committed to the game.

I live down in the SEC country and football is huge. I see alot of agents cater their Open House on Saturdays around the games. Game themed open houses and flyers. I also see Realtors who send out fridge calender for the college football games. I guess if your a die hard fan, some would put work off to watch the game. In my area, I tink it depends on who the bulldogs are playing, like yesterday they played the Gators and that is a big deal game. NFL for me - GoHawks.

Many people are obsessed with Redskins in this area, and it's usually football before real estate with them.

Paul,
I am not sure if that has a bearing on real estate. I think even though there may be high interest in sports, those who want to buy a home will. A

Go Hawks!
I grew up in Oregon and went to Oregon State so I'm a Beaver fan. But, who can't be an Oregon Duck fan with all those cool jerseys... not to mention the fact they've been awesome (until this season)?
Huskies and Cougars... no particular preference.

Yes but sadly not many fans for the poor Dolfins. I think everyone is glued to the TV's watching any team thats on. Only realtors think about real estate on Sunday

Yes, I do. Friday night high school football is big but doesn't impact weekends. Panther games might, but I can't say I feel it a lot.

Denver is a BIG football town. We are a sports town in general...baseball, basketball, hockey. Not much happens when the Broncos are playing.

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington - yes, I do - in New England!
And yes, many people give priority to watching a game as compared to buying a home.

The college of William and Mary is in WIlliamsburg so football weekends can be crazy!

Washington is a football town, indeed. But a Redskin's game has never interfered with Open Houses or showings.

In Tallahassee, football is everything. Florida State Seminoles dominates the entire weekend... nothing else matters.

And yes many do postpone life to pay homage to the Packers.

Hi Paul - When the Doncos are playing, real estate gets real quiet around here.

Close enough if we want to travel to a game for a weekend getaway to Tampa or Miami.

Surprisingly, no. Even though the Lams (aka the LA Rams) are based here. I see more things shut down in the summer for the Cowboys practice events in Oxnard than things shut down for the rams in Thousand Oaks.
#GO COWBOYS!!!!

We live in RI. We are normally very active with open houses on weekends, but if the Pats are playing, we quickly learned to not even bother.

Yes. OH is typically dead on Sundays. But at least, I know that walk ins are serious buyers.

Yes, I do. It seems that some focus on sports and others focus on other things ... including real estate.

I do NOT live in a football town; basketball trumps here (UK Wildcats)! Holy moly do these people worship basketball. I've been told they only "practice" football here. LOL.., so everything stops during basketball season!

Football tends to commit half of the population while the other half is frantically searching for an escape.
Here in the home of the Tampa Bay Buccanners, the criminal makeup of the team has been increasingly contributing to those who which not to support or vote for criminals.
It is my hope in those cities who are host to NLF players with weak knees experience the same decline in enthusiastic support.

Yep when the Chargers are playing there are plenty of people more interested in that than real estate, but plenty of people aren't

During college football season, there is a lot of interest in the games. But real estate continues regardless!

Not ALL weekend....but as myMom used to say...they could do nuclear testing during a Packer Game...the streets are bare !

The University of Arizona in Tucson, which has very popular sports teams, definitely has a huge share of fans that attend season games, though that can be evenings, or just one weekend day, so I don't think people in general are forgetting about real estate - they're just not be thinking about it every day Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington.

Hi Paul,
As you know as you are in WA state as well, competing with the SeaHawks may not be a wise choice for an open house time slot but other than that I haven't had much trouble with biz activities on the weekend.
