I have no problem firing clients but admit, they are now few and far between.  I'm very selective as to with whom I work.  If I don't sense it will be a good fit, I don't hire them!

I have fired a few. Some clients aren't worth the amount of energy that pull out of you. Those people are better off with another agent, so I can be more productive.

It happens to just about every agent at one time or another.  Some people are just too high maintenance or have a bad attitude.  They aren't worth the grief.

Yes I have, had a buyer a few years ago that wanted me to work as a buyer's agent, but would not sign the agency agreement.  Our state requires a signature.

Recently I had to deal with a former client that was off his medication. I felt like I was in a compromising situation in many ways, and he scared me. He wanted me to help him buy a tract of land. I threw him out of my office when he started yelling at me.

The guys in my office were watching with an expression on their face that was priceless. I saw that as I showed my former client the front door.

My response to them was...why the h#ll didn't you come into my office when you heard the yelling? I might have needed your help.

I was pretty ticked off.

Yes. I've only had to do it once in my 11+ years in the industry thankfully.  The seller was just over demanding and abusive.  I spent thousands of dollars marketing his home and it was never enough.  Finally he started to strongly suggest that I purchase the home myself from him.  At that point I just said good bye to him.  He was a real piece of...work.
