How about D - I used one, it was terrific for my business and the only reason it ended was she moved on to something else

James Hoff - my answer is A.
And for those who answer B, believe me, it's an investment.
For those who answer C, hats off to you.

I compare real estate coaching programs to weight loss programs. Some people need that support and guidance to accomplish things and others don't. I'm not a fan of coaching.

The best coach I ever had was a good friend who is an amazing businessman with no real estate experience - other than having bought and sold houses. But I've never really cozied up to a professional real estate coach.
You could check out Tim and Julie Harris' site and their real estate version of Think and Grow Rich.

My answer would be C. Have never felt anyone from the outside could motivate me to do what I need to do. Have to have the internal drive.

My coach was my first broker, now retired & good friend. Later I spent many years coaching agents in my company.

James I did have coaches for years when I first entered the business - probably for about 10 years or so. Then I moved into finding coaches for specific areas - ie internet marketing back in 08 as I had no clue what to do back then. I've also been a coach for years.

How about D?
I've had a few but none of them worked out. I wasn't getting what I needed. At this point I can't afford it if I could find the right one.

C. I am self motivated and know what I need to do to keep my biz running at the tempo I like.

For me C. Reasoning: Grew up in the Mike Ferry organization (litterally) and my father was one of their coaches for a while. Now if I need a coach I just go to dear old dad.

James Hoff D. In-house mentoring programs are more productive and cost effective for the agent.

I had one but they knew less than me and were old school and did not work for me. Coaches are good-we all have them, some of them internal, but pick one that helps in a specific area you want help in-leads, internet, web, etc. because a generalist takes too long to make a dent.

C. I know what I SHOULD do, whether or not I actually do it is my fault and won't be changed by someone else telling me I should do it.
