I upload my videos to youtube and then embed into my site, my blog here on AR and share on facebook via link. That way it's not seen as duplicant content, it all links back to my youtube channel.

Mark,
When you put the same video on multiple sites, are you referring to posting it to Vimeo and YouTube?
Or are you saying that you take the same video from YouTube and post it on your website, AR, your facebook, etc..???
I think you are talking about the second case.
I have been to a lot of conferences with a bunch of hotshot SEO gurus, and the consensus from them is that you have to play the game the way Google wants it played.
If Google owns YouTube, then they are just asking you to paste a code snippet to display your video on YouTube on many different websites. That means more traffic for YouTube and that is what Google wants.
I would probably surround the page where the video is with different content, and not repeat post the same article with the same video.
But.... using the same video over and over and having people come to that same video from your blog, my blog, your facebook, etc, is going to send a SIGNAL to Google that people like that video and it is a source of good information.
Then Google will show that video in the SERP higher in the rankings since so many people have sent the SIGNAL that it is valuable, and Google wants to serve up valuable results.

You can try to rename the title of same video to see if it makes a difference.

Putting the same YouTube video on many sites actually helps your SEO. It helps with the following criteria:
You need at least 34 views ( the latest testing is showing)
You need to have a post in your description area with a link back to your website.
You need to tag your video.
Post to as many places as you can post. This looks like people are talking about your video.
There are 2 search engines involved with YouTube video. Google and the others, and then YouTube. YT is a search engine. So you want to link to your YT video as well as embed it on your sites, AR, blogger, FB, everywhere!
And it is not considered duplicate content. Also, as an aside: duplicate content penalty is a myth. We have proved it over and over again and so have all the major SEO gurus. What happens is google chooses who they think is the original author to the content, that is who they choose to be higher than other sites where the same content is. The more competition you have for a keyword phrase, the more other material they will be able to find to give the variety they are seeking to deliver up to the searcher. For longtail searchers you can have your so called, duplicate content on more than one on page one on google. If google cannot find a better match, your sites will be the ones it chooses. The myth came about becasue google execs did not want people to put out duplicate content because that does not serve their purpose well. So they said they won't put up the duplicate content but that is not what happens. It was never a penalty to begin with. Most people got the myth of choice of content mixed up with penalty of content. They are two very different things.

Yes, I agree w/ Tammy Lankford, and I believe the more times your video is embedded, as well as watched, the more it can help the SEO.

I am thinking that it may be like multiple backlinks and may help with the seo since G will notice that people are interested in the video.

I have found that it doesn't hurt at all in fact I think it help. I put a video under the house address & then under the subdivision in that town. Works for me. Post it then to G+ also.

I'm not sure if it hurts or not Mark Don McInnes, Sandpoint but I post here and send it to all the links AR has set up BUT I change a few words as I do it. I've noticed that when posting that way it's usually on Pinterest that I find it doing a incogneto google search.

Great question and thanks for all that have answered. I guess the best thing to do is to post the videos on Youtube in order to get the most Google juice.

S.E.O. has always been a mystery to me. It seems to be ever changing. One week "This" works, the next week "That" works. I guess consistency and relevancy are the key factors.
5,486,132

Yes. There will be a 'measurable' degrade, however, measurable and relevant are two different things. For example a 0.03 statistical difference is meaningless in the real world of attracting 'selected' eyeballs.
What I do is during the video creation process the intent is to create 4 versions, each with a different length.
1. Comprehensive with CC trailer and all my branding
2. Comprehensive with CC trailer and no branding
3. Just the house.
4. 45 second trailer.
The platform will dictate which version to install, all with a link to #1. (All versions can be hosted on YouTube but those ads, especially when google sees people are actually watching your videos, can become counterproductive.)
Anticipate others leveraging your IP, so be creative.
