I read those I follow and go to groups and that's my plan.  I'm not a genre reader I'm a people connector

I stick to the blogs of my favorite people and those of who comment on my own blog. Havent had much time to explore

I do not read by category Peter Mohylsky -  I read those I follow and those who comment ... sometimes I get a little more random when I have the time.

if I'm in a reading mode, I'll read sales and marketing posts....

I never read by category.  The categories have alway been there, and I've never had a need for them.

I'll admit that I never go there to look for reading material.

I usually check out the posts I follow when I'm looking for stuff to read.

I don't pay much attention to the category. I scroll through everything and pick the titles that interest me.

I am loyal to the people I follow and who comment on my blogs. If you comment on my blog I will return the favor.

Depends on my mood at the time.  Never the features.

I like several so can't say there is one favorite. I like seeing what the newbies are doing.

I don't read by topic category.  It is simpler to read "all".

I hardly ever select by category. I choose my reading from people I follow, new writers, and those that comment on my posts

After decades of web surfing and having "there is nothing worth seeing in the footer" engrained into my very being, I'm not looking there for anything.  Sorry.

I never use that feature - like Tammy Lankford, I focus on those I've connected with here.  I assume the consumer may choose those categories if they're searching for something in particular though.

I have to say first blogs 

The membership roster is handy for welcoming new members each day.

I just use the blog link at the top and use the "following" drop down

I am sticking to the plan

I never read by category.  I've often have trouble deciding on what category a blog belongs in.  As many others have said, I read those I follow, reblogs by those I follow, features, and other recommendations through round-ups, etc.  

Peter Mohylsky I haven't paid much attention to the categories in the footer.

I don't search by category -- when I'm in reading mode it's typically those I follow and to reciprocate comments.   

"First blog posts" which I have not been to enough!

When I have time, I like to read the featured posts and the first time posts.

Have not gone there or paid any attention. I go right to the featured posts.
