When someone gets booted the account is archived and no longer public viewable.  The posts CAN be retrieved and if you have the software know-how you can copy the posts.  However, they're no longer visible to the bots, so the links to a members posts will get the "Not found" errors and all that SEO work over time will go POOF as the content is no longer published.

They probably get growled at by that vicious Chihuahua with sunglasses.

I would think, yes, they would lose everything - their accounts are deleted, aren't they?  

Definitely makes you want to play well in the sandbox, doesn't it?!  We've got a powerful investment here - too valuable to risk losing!

I guess the threat of loss of all that hard work is reason enough to play well with others in The Rain. 

This is good reason to NOT put all your eggs in one basket.  Whether you play well in The Rain or not, there is no guarantee it will be around forever.

I'm sure that everything connected to this site would be removed from the Internet.... so once someone misbehaves, there is severe punishment!!!! Ask Conrad and/or Roger.... so foolish...

I think the posts are still there but they are no longer accessible. If you do a search for someone who is no longer here, their posts still show up on a search result, but if you click on the link, you won't be able to read the info.

I don't know for sure, but that's my guess.

Rainmakers should be posting their content on other platforms in addition to AR so it would never really be lost.

In all of our years (10 now) this has happened fewer than 5 times. But yes, in theory, they would lose all of their SEO.

The community guidelines are pretty straight forward and easy to understand. This is VERY rare thing. 

Liz and Bill answered it. I noticed that everything gets deactivated. I talked to a few members who left few years ago. They had to copy/paste each blog post  to somewhere else....otherwise it would be lost.

It is a privilege to be here and not a right so it would be best to behave or copy the posts you want to forever keep and move them to your own site which you would have total control of. i know you are only speaking hypothetically, VB.

Liz and Bill Spear have this one.  I see it like losing privileges when people go to prison or jail.  Okay ... maybe NOT that severe ... but it does take a lot to get kick off this platform.  Play nice and all is well here.

I think if their account would be closed they would drift out of G within a certain amount of time.  Can't shut off the Google switch. Eventually the bots would find out the account no longer exists.

I haven't been around long enough to actually witness this kind of person's handiwork in the Rain to know what their contributions are like, but my total life experience doesn't lead me to expect a lot of SEO from them.  I could be very wrong, but I think someone so intent on self harm wouldn't be allowing himself or herself to get much SEO in the first place.  

I also think the threat of losing SEO from deleted posts would have little impact on people who employ such disrespect that they might get themselves kicked out.

Depends on whether the posts are deleted or not, it they are deleted then there is no SEO.

what links?  links here would vanish, if a person is banned everything here goes away.  I would frankly suggest if a person was banned then they wouldn't care. Generally speaking the people banned don't seem to be primarily blogging for business here in my knowledge of the few it's happened to.
