It depends on the client. It seems like a crap ton of time. Between attending inspections and all of the follow up and follow through ... a lot of time. Mostly it is time on the phone.

It varies quite a bit. There have been some that I have hardly seen once we were under contract, other than that inspection, until the walkthrough, but with lots of emailing, texts and call. A couple of recent ones I have spent several hours with in person. So overall lots of contact but in different ways

Depends how "needy" they are. I attend the inspection with them and then stay in weekly contact re: what to expect next. Every once in awhile there is that one who is texting, emailing, and calling what seems like incessantly....

Hella M. Rothwell, Broker/Realtor® what most agents miss is this period. They are the happiest people on earth and it is the best time to ask for referrals! (What Buffini & Company would say, Duplicating or even triplicating your clients!)

Nope, don't do handholding in person. Makes for too needy of a client. I am firmly not their mother but help them at every opportunity. I'm always there to troubleshoot or bounce ideas off of.
At my business maturity level I realized I can't do that.

It depends on the client. Obviously some require more than others. The home inspection and follow-up is likely to be face-to-face but other "meetings" may be by phone or even email. It's definitely not one-size-fits-all.

Almost none, as almost all of our clients are either out of state or out of the country. We do everything that needs to be done pretty much without them.
However, next month we are going on our third vacation with a danish couple that are former clients who have become our close friends.

It depends on the buyers and the circumstances; however, as much as necessary.

It depends on the transaction, it depends if they are local or relocating. There is no "average" time spent.

As much time as it takes to get through the home inspection and the settlement.

Whatever is necessary and comfortable, since remember, that client is a super referral source!

I'm always at the home inspection and final walk through. I'll also encourage them to call me if they want to see the home again during escrow to measure or show family members. I'll see them to hand them the keys too.
5,319,991
Depends if it is the first home for them. More time with them. for sure!
2,724,138
Quarterly contact, invitation to lunch or coffee... at least a phone conversation to see how they are.
Of course, some clients have evolved into true friends, we spend a lot of time together.

It depends on the client and the circumstances. Some require more attention than others.
3,227,282
very circumstancial. First time buyers need some hand holding. Seasoned buyers I see at the inspections if they attend, at the walk though and cloing. We either chat, text or email other things.
2,443,346
We talk back and forth as necessary, do a final walk thru and that sort of thing. Sometimes meet if an amendment is required, but not always, sometimes they are busy and just want to docusign.
5,591,851
Sometimes it seems like there is a ton of time between the final inspection and the final walk-through! So, I typically check in with them by phone routinely. If they need to go back by the house to measure, meet a decorator, etc. I always make myself available to them.

I check in often but rarely meet unless it is to reshow the house, meet the inspector, etc. But we talk, text, email a lot all the way to closing.

As much time as my buyer needs me to spend with. You never know what comes up and if buyer needs your guidance and assistance, be there for them. There is never a limit on time for me.

Every client is different and every project is different.
Some clients call daily, some only communicate when one of us has something to talk about.
Some projects require data or updates daily, others we just submit the report at the end.
I am not real big on calling them just to tell them that I don't have any news to tell them.
My time and theirs is too valuable for that kind of handholding.
4,572,063
It's not a meet-up once a week, but we are in contact with them and are available when they need us...

All my majority of time (generous) is spent upfront. Minor updates after that with doc requests etc.

Hella M. Rothwell, Broker/Realtor® I stay constantly in contact with them. I provide them with updates, status reports, questions, etc. through the closing. Clients like to keep abreast of the situation and it also gives them a warm and fuzzy you are holding their hand. At least once a week unless something comes up.

Once it does under contract and a flurry of formal loan application, inspection and appraisal, it goes to more email and phone call updates.

Some want a lot of hand holding while many don't need a thing. It depends how well I've educated them in the process.

A lot more than before they are in contract. This is NY and a host of people enter into the fray after contract.
