I no longer use aerial shots but do take advantage of drone photography. Here is a shot from my new listing yesterday:

My suburban listings really don't lend to using it. I plan on using it when I have a listing good enough or large enough to make it worthwhile.

If you're talking about drones, the answer is yes I've thought about it, but haven't done much about it as yet.

Hi Michael - We've rarely used actual aerial photos over the years, since a lot of what we might want them for can be covered by satellite photos that are readily available. But I think we're going to be doing a lot of drone photography in the future.

Only on high end lclients. In my area it's $2 million + when I would suggest aerial photos. There is a "coolness" factor that clients love.

Michael Rowand Aerial photography is a common occurrence in commercial real estate. I would suspect we will see more drone photographers.

Are you talking about actual Aerial photos? We have been using them for 30 years.
Or drone photography, which are a different thing, more attractive yet less accurate since they are generally shot at various angles and elevations.
Yes we were seriously considering this until the govt got into it an made it much more difficult and expensive.

Yes and LOVE it! I hire the professionals and they are licensed as well.

On a house with an impressive lot it can be very important.

I don't really like aerial photos because they tend to look very generic and very "Googlish" to me (if that's a word). They actually take the warmth away and can make the property seem stale and flat. Drone photos can do that too sometimes, but they can really show a large, expansive property or a farm like no tomorrow! That aspect I like.

I find drone photography invaluable to sell acreage property, or a unique setting.

Most of DC is a no fly zone. So the closest thing we get is when our photographer stands on the roof of his truck.

The aerial photography my company uses is a drone. I use them for acreage, or if the home has great views.

My listings are usually in the suburban areas so really don't work well. I'd definitely use aerial shots with lakefront or acreage listings.

No. I really haven't given it any thought. I'm not sure it's needed for our niche market. I can see it being relevant to larger homes on acreage.

It would depend on the price point of the house, and if we were in a buyers market.

Not much use in the sale of downtown Chicago condominiums, but a definite consideration for less dense areas!

No. I have not. I really don't see a need for it. If the need arises I will hire it out.

I prefer the use of drone photography. It works great in the Naples area with so many waterways and large estates.

Are you referring to a drone Michael Rowand? That type of photography is not covered under our E & O's, meaning the Seller would have to cover that cost. Our niche is age-restricted communities, so I do not know how popular that would be here.

Yes, for sure! I have thought about investing in the drones and you tube videos for my listings with Aerial Views of my Listings. So great!
