While the advice given here is sound, none of it will work if you only have a Rainer acct. You currently have a Rainer acct which means that your posts are members only...so only members can see it. Posting to social media won't do any good...most people will not be able to see the link.
If you upgrade to a paid membership (i.e. Rainmaker acct), then google as well as the social media networks can see your articles.

I just want to say thank you to everyone that has responded to my question. I have done some research and I will have to pay a monthly fee to share. I think it's silly to pay a high price just to share my content with my friends and family. By copying the URL link and emailing it to my fiance, he still was not able to open up my blog. It went to AR home page. So that stinks.

Best to do it the old way of cut & paste. The 'share' button to the rig
ht does not work transferring pics 1/2 the time. It's a bummer.
OR ... you might try Hootsuite or Friends+Me to share to multiple places when you want. AR isn't the best at this.
Debbie Gardner is correct on what type of acct you have.

Take the short URL and paste it into the other websites. Try FB first. In addition, when you first post a blog, a window will open offering to share the post on several other sites. You need only click on the sites to share and follow-thru! We like to change the post around a bit to enhance SEO. Good luck

Because you do not have a rainmaker account, you will need to either use something like hootsuite or some other 3rd party posting site - or do it manually

Jamine is the glass half empty or half full ? If you realize that AR can be an amazing DIFFERENTIATION TOOL in your Local Market for the Lead Gen process called Content Marketing , then the cost is Chicken Feed compared to costly & ineffective Print Media !

What Debbie Gartner said ... the fee for AR memberships is the best bang you will get for your marketing dollars. Contact Bob Stewart and see if they are running any monthly specials on membership.

As long as it is not a "members only" post, just grab the url or the shortcut url and paste it in your status on fb and your fb business pages, and use the share tool on AR for the rest.

Paying for the account (which becomes free when you reach 500,000 points) isn't about being able to "share your posts with friends and family" it's about consumers finding posts that make your phone ring. It's not instant and it's not magic. It takes hard work and lots of time but in the end give it a year and you will see results.

Fill up everything in your profile( all links from social media). But I see you already did it:)

The best way is to get the short URL and manually share that. That gives you the most control and is the most reliable (the buttons don't always work).

Without a paid account or 500k points, you're going to need to do it outside of AR

Wow! you got some great play on this question. Not much I can add except listen to what these long time and very expereinced member/contributors have to say. They are offering up some very good advice.

Jamie Spurgeon - Debbie Gartner is excellent - and always have the right advice.
'Rainer' account does not help much.

You can copy the URL and paste into your other posts or use the share buttons.

Debbie Gartner has a great answer. Become a Rainmaker so your blogging pays off.

I think all you have to do is to click the icon for your network. You can also post the short link to the blog post.

Hi, Jamie.
Others explained about Rainmaker Account, etc.
Please let me encourage you to pay the monthly fee. The SEO, the Community, the knowledge gleaned from this site, the ability to Link or share links to your website and social media sites, is worth every penny.
ActiveRain becomes FREE when you reach 500,000 points. If you blog consistently, comment regularly, you can hit 500K in 12 to 18 months. Time flies; it will get here before you know it.
Best to you whatever you decide... we would be thrilled to have you as a Member of the ActiveRain Community!

If you have a wordpress site, download the plugin Pretty Link. Pretty Link will allow you to name your shortened URL rather than just having a odd code for the shortened URL that you get. Take that URL and paste on your FB page. You may want to subscribe to Realty Times too. You can set up a free account. Copy and paste your article and publish it.
