Longest was my first short sale with WAMU:

2.5 years.

Shortest was a sale I made in 2000 in the crazy SF Bay Area market:

less than 1 minute.

(The seller, agent, buyer and I sat at a table, they dictated the terms and we wrote them in. My buyer signed, the seller signed and 10 minutes later we were opening escrow, because we did all this in the escrow office conference room).

I can tell you the shortest would be similar to Thomas J. Nelson, Realtor  We often have both parties together when creating offers so it takes mere moments for it to be accepted and everyone is happy.  Mind you, I'm very careful as to which Buyers and Sellers get together!

Jeff Dowler The longest time between offer submission and an accepted contract was four years. We were in the recession so the buyer leased the property. It did close four years later.

The shortest time was about an hour. It was a divorce situation and the lister wrote an offer to buy the property back.

4 hours. I am sure we can get that shortened with Docusign. That was the old way of driving around.

three minutes (recent) buyer and seller both in my office and in different rooms.

And I really don't know about the longest.  It's not recent as we now have "deadlines" for acceptance and mine are not more than 48 hours. However I know it was more than a week in the past.... back in the day when we sometimes snail mailed contracts.

We're talking contract acceptance and not closing, right?  Shortest was over a dining table with sellers and buyers present.  Longest was maybe 3 weeks, with a bank owned property.
