   Somehow you need to flip that question back on them.

    "I can tell you all about myself, my sales stats, I can give you referrals from happy clients... but you are obviously looking for something special in a Real Estate Broker.... what do you want out of a Realtor?

   Then become that person.

In addition to what Debe Maxwell so ably mentioned, I also tell them straight up that there are a number of excellent agents in our market (other than just me, of course) and at the end of the day, they needed to listen to their instincts and go with the agent who could not only get the job done but with whom they would be most comfortable working.  

I cannot tell you how many times a seller has chosen me and referenced that comment. 

it's all about the price and the marketing.... both are the most important factors....and I'll show you how I rank with both compared to all of the others in our area....

I'm with Susan Haughton in her addition Debe Maxwell's  list. I also tell them some agents will say anything to get their business but I will tell them what will actually get them the fastest sale at the best price.
