San Diego is enormous, yet: 100 micro markets. What is true in La Jolla is not in Chula Vista. What works Downtown, does not in Carlsbad. You have to specialize here, neighborhoods almost demand you are a "local expert" vs. a San Diego County generalist.

Real Estate has been strong for the last 6 months in Collin County.  I strongly believe we are heading into a shift, which is supported with the number of price reductions this month for listed properties.  

Housing prices took off but buyers are pushing back and not willing to pay the inflated prices.  What is saving the Collin County arena is the fact that there are numerous major corporations moving here and Jerry Jones is moving the Dallas Cowboy training camp to Frisco TX.  Frisco is in the midst of a 9 billion dollar renovation with business complexes, restaurants, major specialitiy shops and apartment and condo complexes.

It should be interesting to see where this goes but either way we are heading into a shift and anyone that has been through this before in the real estate industry knows what they must do to survive and perform stronger than ever in a shift market.

Tallahassee and Ocala.  Prices are flat, way too much inventory.

Other parts of Florida are booming, especially southeast and southwest.

Our market on Kauai (Hawaii) is mostly up with a gradual climb in prices.

I am in Los Angeles CA. Housing prices have been up so far for last 3 years, but i have a feeling it can change next year... 

Denver, Co. area is still low in inventory but we keep seeing prices go up.

I think the market is highly local and nuanced - something that doesn't come across on news reports about national averages for homes. 

Overall we're doing good.  Prices continuing to rise, even with a summer spike in listings.

I sell home in Bucks county and parts of Montgomery and Philadelphia. 

My marketplace is in Fairfax, VA, where patients have become people to me over the last 20 years. Baby boomers deserve, want, and need a professional to help them make the best and biggest investments of their lives. The rambler, the rancher, and the elevator condo all have one asset that is huge!! Accessibility when you have 4 seasons or have a bad knee. I look for "diamonds" in the market for baby boomers to purchase or sell. When you can't get around, call me to help. 

we are listing agents in MA....specifically Norfolk County and the town of Franklin.... but we do handle surrounding towns to Franklin also.... it's a very strong market....and I dig DEEPLY for listings.... they always surface...especially land for subdivisions for our builders....there are approx. 200+ listings coming next year....

I'm in Los Angeles County and the market is large in size and population. There are many nuances within each community.  

Overall, in my primary market -- the West San Gabriel Valley and Northeast Los Angeles, the market remains quite competitive with multiple offers and sales over list price still common while inventory levels have been increasing in some segments.  

I have also observed an increase in the number of price reductions occurring and often quite quickly in some areas.

In DFW we have as many micro markets as we do grocery markets.

Prices continue to increase and many price levels have eclipsed the pricing levels just before '08.

Austin is a job creator city so is doing well. lots of micro markets..downtown ,NW all doing well some better than others..low inventory high demand!

Still studying a new market. Appears we still have some catching up to do in many neighborhoods!

We have seen modest increases in my area but we have not recovered. There was just a post of recovery state by state across the US in KCM.

Interesting - we are stable here in the DC metro area but not going crazy- 10% appreciation is not happening here

I see the rate of price increases decreasing in my market and continued growth at a more moderate pace.

Our market is strong.

We have not seen the sellers markets that the more urban areas of the country have seen, but we do have a very good market developing in the newer suburban homes.

Each marketplace is distinct, and within each marketplace they are different results based on the makeup...so to say something general about a marketplace is in my opinion not worth saying...A

Any speculation should be backed by historical data and why properties will appreciate.

We are still single digit here is Destin Florida, and some folks say it is definitely  leveling off.
