Chiedo Marketing I am a firm believer in mentoring programs. It should be left up to Broker's to run these programs. The real estate schools should stick to teaching real estate courses.

I am with Lyn. I can tell you right now I am not opt. I gave free advice and mentorship on a daily basis. There is no substitute for hard work period, if you want to be successful.

If you are new to real estate and can find an experienced agent willing to mentor you, they are worth their weight in gold!

Sure but how do I know that particular leader can be a mentor? I want someone that knows more than I do & has some wisdom to impart. Pretty tall order for a stranger to the real estate business.

A mentor to a newb is anybody.

Having been a mentor and a mentee, I'm certainly biased toward the benefits of being part of a mentorship.  Although, the mentor should be local market specific not regional.  What works upstate doesn't always work downstate.  You need a local mentor and a national company providing regional mentors sounds too much like a one sided benefit to the Company/Mentor.  

After 22 years in the business, I'd really hope I didn't need a mentor. I have served as one for agents in my office, but wouldn't charge for it.

I just gave up mentoring.  It can be an extremely demanding role if helping a local agent.  

At least if an organization was paying hourly you would be guaranteed compensation.
