BILL CHERRY - happened to me! The listing agent called me and asked me why were we still at home 5 minutes after our scheduled appointment was over!

I have heard it many times Bill. It is illegal here unless a sign is posted informing people. If you discuss writing an offer and they see this it is unfair.

Always assume that you are being watched and listened to. The [Florida] law is not clear - if you are in a public place (grocery store, gas station) they have to notify you, but on private property (home for sale), you don't. However, a good attorney might argue that by opening your house to the public (Buyers), the disclosure law kicks in.

What about it? Sellers do it all the time. NC RE Commission has asked us now to notify showing agents if that is the case with our sellers.

I do consulting work for several DFW brokerages. I recently received a call about one of their sellers who caught on video an agent having sex in his house. He was quite upset.

It happened to me... watched AND listened. I never felt so violated. While I said nothing that I wouldn't have said in the presence of the owners, it was truly ICKY! As one pro to another, I thought I the very least that the listing agent should've tipped off all showing agents.

Yep, one of my clients did that to me, no sound just video, he told me and the camera was very obvious, but still creepy. I used to stick my tongue out at him everytime I opened the door to see how often he was actually paying attention.

Sure, it's happening everyday & there is nothing we can do about it when we are in others homes. Advise your buyers that they might be & leave it at that.
I really don't think it's a bad idea considering how agents leave sellers houses with doors open, etc.

This is becoming an issue. I've seen it on both sides. I've had sellers tell me things about showings and when I asked how they knew, they said they were watching from their computer. Just doesn't seem right to me.

I always assume someone is watching. A few homeowners will disclose the fact that they are watching.
