Hate 'em.   I want the Listing Agent in attendance, otherwise I will not show it.

BTW, I have tripped two of them; I advised my Buyers to drive away immediately, so did I.  I called the LA to inform them the alarm had gone off.

Not yet, thankfully. About 15 seconds later. And I didn't have a code since the alarm was supposed to be off!

Well, kinda.   I was representing a buyer in a sale and the termite work was taking place post closing.  I arrived, opened the door and the alarm sounds --- it had been a short sale and it was disclosed that the security system was not in use.  Pasadena Police arrived as I was on the phone with the security company explaining I did not know how to reach the previous owners.

Fun times in real estate.

I hate alarms. That happened to me once, when I seller forgot about a showing appointment on a Saturday, went out of town, and set her alarm.

No, but I did get inside a house once with clients, and we decided to open a door that went out onto a wonderful deck. Wow, was that a loud alarm! Thankfully it wasn't hooked up to anything and turned out to be a child-alarm that the owners forgot to remove when they moved out, and never told their agent about. It took a minute or so to stop shrieking.

Yes, had it go off on a <2,500sft empty commercial space...my ears were numb  The agent kept insisting he gave me the correct code....couldn't stay in the building and it went off for a L O N G time....until we finally left.  Later he at least called back and apologized for the Seller having changed the code without telling him.  Annoying!

I've been on the alarm on and no code provided side of things.  Couldn't reach the agent, so we left with the alarm blaring and a voicemail on the agent's phone.  Never did show that house again.

Most of the alarms around here have teeth.  Best to shut the door quickly or get ready to fight, or at least have a treat ready to bribe the guard.

whenever I listed a home with an alarm, I would insiste they disarm the alarm during the day.... I wasn't going to deal with that....and I never had an issue from anyone...

Yes esp involving cops stopping..... I had a stupid owner who turns on his alarm thinking homes are sold and shown on the weekends only.

Yes to this. I named every name associated with this project to convince the alarm people I boo-booed and they confirmed it true but chose not to believe me as anyone could do that. Oh really?  The police came after a half hour and laughed it off. I kept telling the alarm people (on the phone for a half hour) why would I stick around for a half hour for cops to come if I was not affiliated with the project? Come to your senses! They couldn't do it. They went into shock! This was out of their business model box

Not quite an alarm, but once I was showing and the agent said it was empty on lock box. I opened the box, got the key, opened the door and an elderly woman in a bathrobe screamed so loud it sounded like the wail of the banshees

Does that count?
