1. Small print is tedious. Use sparingly

2. landing/home page. Contact at bottom area same as disclaimer area. Mixed message using same colors

3. Better more succinct personal pics. Spend time on this. Unique & special

4. Last paragraph home page you use assistance and assist in it.

5. The website dominant color I don't care for.

Overall site observation is that you have a decent entry into the web game.

I don't like the pink/salmon with the burgundy. Maybe change it to blueish grey.   The white lettering over pink at the bottom fine print implies you don't want anyone to read it.  Whe nI first opened the site there was a transparancy on the upper left with you contact information over the house image - then it dissapeared?  What about a 1 minute video of Jean Marie speaking?  Is it local law you can't post the MLS?  Put some past client recommendations and house sold images

Hi Wayne and Jean Marie Zuhl. I looked at your site and there are a couple things.

1. Under the Buyers drop down, the Mortgage Calulators for Buyers, the Compare Mortgage Rates is too far down and blends in with the screen behind it. Raise it up more.

2. When looking at the rates, you have the rate default at 3.79% and the comparisions at 4.79%, 5.79%. etc.  Since rates are quoted in 1/8% incrimants, change the 3.79% to say 3.75% or 3.875% instead.

3. The 4 pictures that rotate, take to long to switch, and I would like to see you keep your name and information that you have on the first picture, on all of the other pictures.

Hope this helps.

I agree with Lyn Sims - the downsides of a third party website are many. Too many things we have no control over. That is why I like WordPress ... so customizable.  I wish you all the best with your new site!

Sorry to be so late with my feedback, the only thing that I would add is that it may be good to move that picture of Wayne up toward the top of the page.

Make sure you add content that is relevant to both buyers and sellers so the search engines find you . You can start by sending it to friends and current and past clients . Create a contest on your home page that will attract buyer and seller interest .

I am not a fan of the pink color. Can you try a different theme?

Why don't you add a blog to your website?  I add one or two posts to mine each week, often recycling stuff I've written on ActiveRain.

I think it is a great start but some for the pages are too wordy and consumers need bullet points and bold text to be able to scan read. I know this is a really affordable option and will get you started and commend you for being proactive. Closely monitor it and see if you get results and keep tweaking to make it better and user friendly.

Great start.  I agree w/ most of this feedback.

Slow loading time is a big issue...could be due to slider or website box (or both). and, you know my feeling that you should switch to wordpress VERY soon.  I have a hunch you won't get very far with website box and your site may never take off.

think ahead on colors, if you know my drive.  the reds/pinks are a poor choice and definitely fix the bottom.

And, you MUST make sure this is mobile responsive; if it's not, it's a waste.  there's a way to test this (I forget how), but it's VERY important.

font/writing is a bit challenging to read.  Importantly, make your headers initial caps (not all caps)...makes MUCH easier/faster to read...learned this in college psych and I see this mistake often.  this is also why they changed many road signs to initial caps years ago...faster comprehension and fewer accidents.

Once you have up, work on high quality neighborhood epic posts...see Bill Gassett's examples on his site.  These are very important evergreen posts.  This should be some of your epic content...get at least 1 done per month.  Use his as a role model.

Gotta go.

I will not repeat other comments. Your slider images that appear to load from gsmls.com represent about 89% of your load time.

see report here - particularly bottom section. https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/cG6YBr/http://sellmycranfordhome.com/

if the report does not open re-do it at https://tools.pingdom.com/ choose a US server.

If possible host the images on your own site, but first upload them to tinypng.com, optimise and download again (works for PNG and jpg images).

Front page some of your headings ("For Sellers", "For Buyers") are a little small, I barely caught them.

News section is a bit dense. First couple of posts are heavy but probably works. But there are some that are long enough to deter reading. Not sure how many people will find that section useful.

Lyn Sims made some good points about colors. The light font doesn't show. But I don't think I would put black over that red either.

I remember when WebsiteBox sponsored a contest/challenge here and I think there were members who joined.  Hopefully there are those who can share their personal experiences with the company.

Good luck.

Like it except the light font at the bottom on the light color - wash out.

IDX shouldn't take long to OK, mine is like 2 days tops.

When the 1st pic loaded it took an awful long time - in fact it hesitated.

Looks like a nice site.  I'm seeing a missing photo on I think the second slider and the fourth image slider has no text.  Overall looks nice and has a lot of good info.  Well done.
