I've been on my local board for about 7 years, and have served as chair, secretary and a director...so yes I do. I'm currently a director which is a two year commitment. I also hold a leadership position at the state level. 

That is amazing...I vote everytime. Its a bit rigged getting a spot on the ballot here, but I still vote.

Usually. We are a small community and we actually know most other agents here. So we know who the candidates are, who will be proactive and who may be a problem.

Too clickly here. Its like the good ole boy network. every year they say it will change and in 12 years it has not. Being a broker I need to be with two, I joined the Orlando board and what a difference in professionism. 

Yes that's the way it goes. I no longer want to participate because years ago they drove everyone away. I just voted for by-law changes.

We blended 2 boards not too long ago & now it's really confusing.

When I was active I did.  But, it was kind of a formality.  It was more a matter of getting people to run than getting the votes.  

Your example is a sign of the times.  People are doing their own things and so self-centered and short sighted, you can't get people to care.

No.  I had no clue about who was running, their positions, what they stood for, etc.  The info wasn't put out.  I have zero desire (and even less caring) about who runs the board.  In the grand scheme of things it doesn't impact me.

I only vote for candidates I'm familiar with, I don't throw darts, so some of my ballots are blank. Our board doesn't do much in the way of getting out into the populist to get known by the membership. I am interacting more now than ever though, as I want to bring better community outreach from our board & members.
