they only die if they want to die.... I could have died 12 years ago, but decided to just change the way I make a living.... now I can live on....

It's all about choices.  In life and in real estate.   As I have learned here on AR and in real life, there are real estate professionals who choose not to represent sellers and are quite successful.  This is an industry where one-size-does-not-fit-all. 

Agents dont die, they expire

I definitely like Michael Jacobs statement!! One size does not fit all in real estate.

One of our retired broker friends makes a very good living just off of referrals. Even though he's not actively selling, he still keeps in contact with his past clients. Still sends them Christmas and B-day cards, and still calls them up just to chew the fat. What's funny is he showed me his 1099 and he makes more money being retired than most agents who are active.

This is funny!  I think once a real estate agent, always a real estate agent.  It's one of those jobs you can never get away from........it just keeps drawing you in literally!!  Thanks for the laugh Ginger Harper!

That may be, but let's not forget how many agents out there make a great living representing buyers only.

They do fade away and some die too. Many never become listers from the beginning and still do well.
