I'm wondering how much of that price tag covers the "Celebrity Factor"?

Wayne and Jean Marie Zuhl - who is the real estate professional selling his home - and does not do proper market analysis?
(Thought the name sells - so this home will go, too....)

Imagine the upkeep costs for that on top of the steep price tag. When I saw a video on it a while back, I remember it being very taste specific.

Nope, I moved from New England 11 years ago to escape the cold. Even if I had the $ I wouldn't. That's not to say I don;t like Chicago, but it's too cold in the winter for my liking. And with Noah Seidenberg 's opinion here, I'll pass

No Wayne and Jean Marie Zuhl it is in my market.
It is gaudy and a one of a kind property and not as exciting as you may think.

I couldn't even get to $5M and forget about the shoes. It's a beautiful home that I've been watching since it came on the market. The two major drawbacks are the surrounding homes and the #23 on those gates. As an investment I could never ignore the former nor want the latter on my home.

There is always more value attached to a celeb's home, and I would not pay for that. A

No. I can't imagine 15 bathrooms. And, um... a pair of sneakers? How about a semi truck of them autographed that I can sell off?

Are you sure it's that low? Poor guy can't sell the place now for years.
It was listed for a lucky number that totaled 23. Scotty Pippens house is for sale also.
I think the article is kind of lame.

That would be awesome to own MJ's old home! I wouldn't be mad at the sneakers either.

I am 43 years old. I grew up watching MJ outproduce everyone on the court. I also grew up on tough Brooklyn streets in neighborhoods that are now high priced, difficult to get into hot spots, but which were not so cool places when Jordan and the Bulls were kicking butt in the NBA. Living in those areas, I saw many needy families that could barely afford their rent struggle to put Jordans on their kids' feet so that the kids could experience some level of fitting in. When I was a kid, my mom and dad would have kicked my behind if I dared ask for a pair of Jordans. I was a straight A student, not because I was bribed by a pair of cool Air Jordans, but because I was afraid to disappoint mom and dad. SO, believe me, if I dared purchase Michael Jordan's home or any home and pay $14.8 million for it, my 73 year old mom would kick my almost 44 year old butt for being so damn selfish. You see, she would expect me to put that money to better use, for the family, for the neighborhood, for our future, etc. Believe me, my parents keep me very humble, no matter how much money I make. NOW, that being said, I would love to rent that house for a week and invite all my friends who are New York Knicks fans and those who are Chicago Bulls fans and lived through the Jordan years to meet me there for an awesome NYC style week long party! Wayne and Jean Marie Zuhl, YOU ARE INVITED!!!

No... don't need 15 bathrooms or a basketball court. Don't wear sneakers, either.
