My husband always produces a nice bottle of champagne and toasts me on a job well done and invites the universe to introduce me to the next one! I loved Nina Hollander 's answer though

I celebrate every closing by taking my bride on a date. For us it can be dinner at one of our favorite La Jolla restaurants, a luxury movie theater day or if the closing is big enough; couples massage at one of our favorite local resorts.
Celebrating is important because it allows you to reset for the next one, it creates victories in your month and closure of all you went through on that escrow. We have a no more than 5% of the commission Net, budgeted for it. What we do not use of the 5% goes into our vacation fund...which we often under spend the 5% because we love to pamper our vacations!
People that do not celebrate risk burn out and a feeling of being on a treadmill that never ends. I look at them as people that go to a comedy club to eat & drink, instead of to laugh. Celebrating renews your energy. Athletes celebrate, companies celebrate, we need to celebrate too.

I don't celebrate. It's how I get "paid." When I was on salary in the corporate world, I didn't celebrate twice a month because my salary was paid into my account.

I used to celebrate in some way on every closing in my early years. Since I had a young family the whole family got to help celebrate. Now it is just part of what I do and plan really big celebrations throughout the year that are the result of working hard.

Indeed and it depends how big or how difficult the transaction was, I have been to Spago of Wolfgang Pucks fame with clients as a closing dinner... I have been to lunch with clients at Bouchon of Thomas Keller fame... and I have taken Diane out to dinner and other times I have bought her presents... it all depends...Endre

Annie,
We love to celebrate all victories big and small, and it depends on the form. It may be a Champagne bottle to go with our dinner,or it may be a drive in the wine country for some wine tasting...it depends om our mood of the moment. A

I do like to do a little celebration. It varies, but I might go out for a special dinner or take my clients out. I might plan a long weekend away.

First and foremost my pleasure is in congratulating my clients, and with buyers handing over the keys to their new home. My wife and I will usually toast the closing. Nothing fancier than that!

Depends on a lot of things. My relationship with clients and level of stress during the deal. Sometimes I want to celebrate with the clients. Sometimes I want to celebrate I never have to see them again.

Usually I don't celebrate, but I do like to buy something shiny that goes "Bang" or "Boom" every few transactions. On tough escrows, I definitely celebrate with a good meal.

I hope I never witness a celebration....the only action that should be taken is to secure another listing and a new deal....

Normally we celebrate with our clients by shopping and finding the 'perfect' closing gift just for them. On occasson we may enjoy champagne as well.

Always with praise and gratitude for the business and the blessing of another closing. I might get a message or afford myself some serious chill time in the evening. Every day is a celebration.

Our celebration is a drive to the bank and making a deposit. Paying our bills on time is they best way to celebrate.

We don't celebrate payday per se, any more than we would if we were getting a corporate paycheck, but we often toast our clients and their new home.

I'm still fairly new-so I celebrate by depositing the checks and paying bills. I did celebrate my first closing and took the family and my mom and best friend (who supported me a lot through the process of becoming an agent and getting myself started) out to a modest but nice dinner.
I'm sure I will celebrate my milestones, first sale over a million, my lucky 13 sale? my 100th sale, but generally it's business as usual!

I used to celebrate by buying a new piece of crystal after each transaction but had to stop. I just didn't need any more crystal. Then I switched to buying a branded piece of apparel and, eventually stopped that too. I was talking to my brother the other day about my WILL. I ask if there was anything he wanted and he said the only thing is my set of crystal. He is a farmer. I had no idea!

I celebrate by taking "memory building" pictures of the walk thru and the events of the closing up to the handing out of the keys and then give those to the buyers for a remembrance of their great home buying experience.

The closing today is very different from earlier days taking buyer and seller meet at escrow. I do not even go to title company much unless they need me.
The celebrations often involve tons paperless docs. I typically do my own escrow all involving pdfs to save a tree.
