Every time! How do they know?!

I always feel like somebody's watchin' me....

Always..that's why I schedule several vacations a year!

It never fails! It's like someone sends a mass email to the universe to call me just as I'm getting on a plane.

Generally if I just think about planning half a day off (like tomorrow for example) I end with appointments.  I hadn't even mentioned to my husband that I wanted to take the afternoon off to do something with him (he's off) so fortunately he's not disappointed.

Sounds typical.  If you are not busy plan a get-away and business comes knocking.  Lesson learned:  go on vacation/refer business

No the scheduling doesn't do it but the fast approaching of it does and when it gets to a day or two before leaving it busts loose causing long work days and exhaustion upon leaving.

I haven't been on one in years not in my case.

Happens like clockwork almost all the time. The really strange thing is that my wife has the uncanny ability to attract biz that way all the time. We plan a few days in Palm Desert and she gets calls for that area. We plan a trip up to the Central Coast and she gets calls there. We plan a visit to see my 94 yr old Mom and we get calls from her area. Very strange indeed but very productive.

Yes, seems like that always happens to me but you have to follow through the  plan and take the vacation.  In the long run its the best thing you can do for your business.  But it's interesting how that always comes into play when you plan time off.

But, unfortunately it has to be a real vacation, somehow the universe knows when I put a fake one on the calendar to drum up business. 

I've found that it caused the colleague whom I'm covering's business to explode...  I'm hoping to reciprocate in a few weeks.  ;)

It is a good idea to have someone to cover for you.

It happens every single time which is why i cant get away for mor ethan a couple of days in summer and wait for February to take that coveted week off.

It always happens, so we take a couple vacations a summer and weekends when we can!
