Subsurface rights really aren't an issue around here.  While Washington, DC's main product is hot air, it's not from sub-surface natural gas deposits!

Living in city or suburban areas in or near city of Erie and surrounding cities subsurface rights are not an option.  For the most part a few more rural areas have gas or oil leases but neither are very lucrative.  Tell us about your area Minnette Olsen
