Kathleen, a "Got it" or "Received" goes back from me whenever I get an offer on one of our listings.  When I send over an offer I ask for an acknowlegment.  The listing agent's response (or lack of one) usually tells me what I'll be dealing with the rest of the negotiations, assuming that any will happen at all.

You have hit upon one of my pet peeves...confirmation of anything!  I ask for confirmation, I text, I call, I use the Outlook option showing the email was relayed and read (but I think the receiver of the email must actually agree to that).  Regardless, I just do not understand why it is so hard to get a confirmation....if I receive the answer to a question or an addendum or anything at all, I confirm receipt.  It's not you, it's them.

Absolutely and even let them know if I have or have not reached my client.  Example...

"I have left my sellers a voicemail and forwarded the offer to them, but am waiting for them to return my call.  I'll be in touch, thanks for the offer"

would be a typical response with an hour.

Over 80 pages of disclosures?? yeef!

Yes, it seems only courteous to respond with "Thank you for your offer, I'll be presenting your offer to my clients in the next hour, and will get back to you as soon as possible".

I would recommend, however, that if you're submitting an offer via email... to request a "confirmation"... or follow up with a quick phone call, confirming that the offer has been received, "and when can we anticipate a response?".
