I schedule it. First thing in the week, I pick the days I want to exercise, I stick it on the calendar for the morning of that day and unless something critical comes up, I don't change it. This morning is a "run" day!

Schedule it and then follow your schedule. Even parking away from the building and climbing stairs can help you reach your goal and I use a Fitbit to motivate me to get more "steps" in each day.

I'm a gym rat 4/5 days a week and they are always called "appointments" with my clients AND with my family.

When I was going to the gym, it was only 3-4 days a week. I bought myself a treadmill and rowing maching so it is easy to exercise every day whenever it is convenient.... usually when I am watching TV, or listening to a podcast.
As others have said, it's an appointment. It is written in ink and not cancelable (is that word?).

A crazy schedule is created by ones priorities.
When the universal benefit of exercise is acknowledged, it will become a priority. Truth is time can not be made. We all have the same 24hour clock. There is no such thing as time management. What we can do is manage the tasks we do. Is exercise important?
The reality is there is a lot of crazy that agents do that does not need to be done....by the agent. And those things are allowed to displace what everyone would acknowledge as ''Important!" - EXERCISE.
Get the priorities straight, and you will live long and prosper.

By treating it as any other appointment. In the beginning of my career in real estate, I got seriously off track with eating properly and exercising. I eventually figured out I had to take control of both and not use "being busy" as an excuse. Put *something* on the calendar and just make it work. I also wear a VivoFit, which reminds me at certain intervals to get up out of my chair and move. At least get up and walk regularly throughout the day, especially while on the phone.

I wear a Fitbit and try for at least 10,000 steps a day. With our extreme heat right now, all exercise is done early in the a.m. Usually I exercise that same time of day, just not 2 hours earlier! I cross-train between walking an hour or swimming an hour. Doing exercise or a sport has to be a priority, or it doesn't get into your schedule - you can do it!!

Today I walked several 20 acre parcels of land with a buyer. That was some good exercise. But I get what you mean. You have to make time.

Almost every morning I get up and go to the gym, run, or bike. Weights are 5 days a week as well in the mornings. It's not about making time, it's simply about doing it.
We all have the same amount of time, and we can all make the same amount of excuses if we want to.

I have an elliptical and some free weights in my house. Plus I have a standing session at my gym with my trainer. Aside from that, it's up to me to make the time. I usually go around noon or after 7. It's not crowded then.

As most people say, schedule it. But I recognize that in times of low motivation that can be a problem. So, how to keep motivated when you're tired and busy?
Incorporate exercise into your stress relief. Take out frustrations on weights, a running path, whatever it may be. This keeps you going and over time other motivations build, it becomes habit, etc. I would rather lose an hour and a half of sleep than miss my workout. Self-improvement is important and make physical improvement part of that.
With that said, if you're new to strenuous exercise, moderation is important. Push yourself, get sore. Some pain is good. But don't get hurt and miss workouts or lose the motivation because it creates stress instead of relieving it.
