For me it is not the communities but the topics/sections. Q & A is one that I enjoy.

Welcome back. I don't participate in "communities" per se. My goal is to have a post scheduled each day. The Q&A section is typically by first stop -- it's quick and can give you exposure to members if you participate. I then comment on other posts typically with those I follow and who reciprocate on my posts.
The great thing about this forum -- is you can do whatever you like -- have fun.

What's more important is writing regularly about your business, your community/localism, and real estate issues buyers and sellers should be aware of; commenting on others' posts and following those you really like; and participating in this forum, if you enjoy it. You'll quickly get back in the groove, as others have done

Thank you all for the answers! It's sad to know communities are more or less dead, but happy to hear The Art of Marketing You is still alive. It's used to be one of my favorite communities! I suppose it will take a little while to get reacquainted but I'll figure it all out in time. =)

Posts to localism or educational ones get a good deal of attention. For your own edification, select the topics that interest you.

One group that is focused on home improvement or decorating ideas is "Feather Nesters."

I would concentrate on blogging each and every day, write about what you know, share a local event, share a story from real estate. Then read at least 10 blogs and leave comments. You already found q and a so keep coming back.

Hi Melissa,
Welcome back. I came back last summer after a long hiatus. Lots of inactive groups, so that's a tough call.
I'd say follow Q&A to get to know some current "regulars" and follow the Leaderboard and Featured blogs. You'll soon find some bloggers you wish to follow and interact with.

We don't have comm (G+) we have groups & not that many are currently active. I'd just follow the leaderboard everyday.

I just read blogs, q&a and follow people - groups don't do much for me these days

Comment on lots of blogs and do not limit the members you follow to build your network.

Hi Melissa and welcome back. I don't pay much attention to groups. I generally just follow people I enjoy to read. And, you are still on my list.

I would not say communities inside of this community. But contests can be fun for you to try.

Melissa Marro - welcome back - hope to see you here in Q&A section often - along with your blogs.

Welcome back! The peace and harmony community is my favorite.
...I'm just making that up, anyways, I don't think that community exists.

I suggest you start by reading about 50 featured posts (I'm mostly serious) and see whose work you like, then follow those people. There have been changes over the last year that make AR differently organized.
You can also follow the question threads, see who is posting interesting questions, or for those questions that interest you, who is posting interesting answers. I think you'll just have to get to know us, one way or another, lol. Welcome back! I look forward to seeing your contributions.

Melissa Marro
There are just a handful of die hard bloggers. Just do what you did post on A&R and Blog. The communities are kind dormant.

I am right here with you Melissa! How is the consumer blog going for everyone?

Hi, Melissa...just jump right in and start writing. I don't think the groups are very active anymore.
