Fortunately, the majority of my clients live in show condition homes but I have one coming up with an elderly lady who has admitted she has more than 40 years of "trinkets & treasures" to trash first! I always find these ones to be quite sad

I would say on average it takes about two weeks for the seller to get their home together. I have access to many trades to assist them to move faster.

Depends on the seller and how they live. Some are always ready and others need major work and staging!

I would hope that they will have their property ready for showtime pretty much right after I get the listing, but of course I know that rarely is the case.
Most of the time, if not ready immediately, it usually is only a couple of days. However, I have had listings where it has taken a couple of weeks.

In my area it's typically ready when I show up for a listing appointment.

It seems to be relative to the number of years they have lived in the home.

Usually they're ready to go that second. On rare occassions I've had to wait 1-2 days.

There is no typical. Each seller is different and will take a different amount of time. Some have already done most or all of the work prior to our meeting.

Sometimes takes a couple weeks to months. Lately everyone has been really slow. Last one was a carpet & paint & cleanout.

Tony and Suzzane,
I currently have one who is installing new windows and painting the exterior, it should be no longer than a week. I have another who will be ready on July 10 because of a back injury.

Some take a few days and others two months. I have one seller that is still getting ready after 3 months and they have already had the yard sale and gotten all new flooring. I am questioning the motivations.
