My first reaction was to say "have you lost your mind?" I have not heard about a lot of success in this regard. $800/month can buy you some really excellent marketing outside of YELP.

My suggestion is take that $400-$800 a month and give 25% to me, 25% to your favorite church/charity and invest the remaining 50% in your retirement. That way, we are all happy! ;)

David - That seems a little steep, but I wouldn't know because I have never looked into being a featured agent on Yelp. If you can get one legit transaction per month, it might be worth it, but I am not the one to ask whether it can be successful or not.

RUN AWAY!!! Yelp is only good if you have a lot of positive reviews. At which point, you'll be one of the top listed agents organically. That can save you the money.
