I have used the free zillow video while sitting at an open house.  I believe it has brought more attention to the listing.  My husband who is also a realtor usually does a video of each of our listings and puts it on Youtube.  It is a great marketing idea and the clients love it, plus we get that extra google juice!

Explainer type videos with local real estate content.  Short videos that close with a call to action (Tell them to click link below for more info). Posted on youtube. In description. first thing is a link to related content on my "squeeze page" (aka landing page designed to capture leads).

Youtube and Facebook video are monsters. I promote myself and appraise people of market conditions. Promoting myself means educating.

Michael J. Perry I should, but I am not using video. Video requires skill and production talent. Video is a one time shot. It isn't like photos where you can take 50 photos and chose the best ones. I did a video once and it looked pretty amateurish. I'll have to leave this area to the pros.

That is on my list to get started. 

I have done neighborhood videos and listing videos. I also do special tour videos for buyers and info type videos to educate. I am always changing it around.

A couple of years ago I had 4 professional videos done at a cost of about $2000, they were about 5-6 minutes long each. I posted them on my website as a way for people to meet me virtually there and I (sometimes remember to) forward the youtube link to them when I am working with a new lead or prospect. One is for buyers, one is for sellers, one is for investors and one is a short intro video. They are all on my website at www.yourdesertrealtor.com if you're interested.  Unfortunately,  I have no idea if they helped me get any new business or not. I don't think there is any way I could have measured that unless I asked every lead 'did you see my video? Did you hire me because of that?'

I have the app "Eyejot" for sending quick video emails but I don't think they are very flattering. I gave it a try just yesterday and scrapped it. Just sent a regular email instead.

I will say, there is a new agent in my market who is also a comedian and she has hundreds of followers on Facebook and other social media outlets. She has done several videos on being a new realtor and has gotten tons of views and is already closing deals at 3 months in the business. She is completely unprofessional and knows nothing about real estate but people like her and she's fun and funny so it's working for her. She even plays that up in her videos!

I have a videographer friend who said she would help me - got the camcorder out & pointed it at my face - NOTHIN.

I provide virtual tour on every listing.
