Lots of great apps out there, but they can tend to bog you and your IPad down if you get too many.

Best to use fewer apps and learn to adapt few apps to your normal operations.

As far as the videos, google will point you to more videos than you will ever be able to watch, have fun.

You wil have to get comfortable with the apps you choose to use and that takes time and practice. The apps you choose are good ones. I like Dropbox myself.

Since I got an Ipad 2 and paid the $10/month for it to have cellular access, I've found that I use it a lot more than I did the iPad 1 with only wireless.   Play around with it.  It's not a laptop but it will do a lot, including  opening  and displaying email attanchments, playing a Keynote slide presentation, and accessing websites.

Figure out what you would like it to do, and then figure out how to get it to do that.
