Yes I have. No I have not. MLS rules prohibit me from stripping MLS data. All of the other marketing belongs to me. It is my work product and I own the rights to it. I do not work for the buyer. I have no duty or obligation to the buyer to ask how high when they tell me to jump.

Yes, I have had buyers say that they now own the copyright because they've bought the house. It's so stupid I can't believe it. Some folks really get nuts about it & it isn't even their furniture/stuff in the listing photos.

They've also had YouTube's taken down also. Buyers actually have no right in IL.

I was recently asked to remove all pictures from a listing.  I advised the seller to wait until all contingencies were removed.  I only follow legal instructions from my seller not someones buyer.

I did so promptly

Yes, only once in my career. I can only take down images that I personally posted on other sites, not what I posted in the MLS, due to our board's rules.

Asked to remove? Yes.

Did I? Yes.

Why? Buyers are exposed to great harm when all control is lost of floor plans and interior images of a home. Agents who think 50 images are a benefit are not thinking about the residual harm this can create.

Some buyers have asked simply to prevent shopping their offer and securing a backup. Such requests are not acted upon.

I've had this request on some rare occasions.  Though, very often the web pages they were looking at were old archived pages that I had no control over.  If I can, I will honor the new owners' requests.

That's funny . . .  I was just asked this last week (for the 1st time ever)  I explained that the majority of sites I had zero control over but I would remove what I could.  I never did get a plausible reason as to why this was necessary though.

Unless I have an Agency relationship with that Buyer, they can ask anything they want... but I have no obligation to comply with them.

If it is "my Buyer" (agency), then I would consider it.  But once it is on the Internet, it will never go away completely.

No I have not, nor would I.  Some cannot be removed and that which I control I would not want to remove because that is my marketing for potential clients.  The buyer has no right to expect removal.  They can ask, but I say no, especially since none of their possessions will be in the photos.

In this area, many buyers are very concerned about privacy.  I would take some of the information down - perhaps photos of the interior of the house. That's a fairly common practice here.

I've never encountered this, I'm shocked how many have! If they were to ask me too, I'd just explain it's my material that I own. The pictures are of the sellers stuff, they have nothing to do with it. I hope I don't have to deal with this, it seems so odd!

As the listing agent, if I get the request by the buyer or the seller before it shows up SOLD on the MLS, I will take off interior photos, but not the main exterior one. MLS requires it. Doesn't happen too often.
