I find their blogs interesting.

They are loyal to me in commenting back on my blogs.

1. I like their style

2.  They follow me, so I follow back.   Yes, I know that is "Twitter mentality", but it's what I do.

To show them support and encouragement.

They offer specific advice type posts
Their writing style is intelligent and engaging.... yes, I'm a bit of a grammar snob.    

I have to be fascinated and it has to be readable, so 1000 word posts don't do it.

If I see a post(s) that I learned a lot from I'm more likely to follow someone. I think I've also followed everyone who has followed me; if you think what I have to say is interesting, I definitely want to understand your perspective. 

I also occasionally see someone located very close to me and oftentimes end up following those people. They tend to have very relevant information as they operate in the same market. 

I like to learn something new each day and I like to comment when they are commenting on my posts.

I like what they have to say, and know I will learn something. Plus I get to know them better as a person and as a real estate professional

To reciprocate and because I enjoy reading their blog.

Entertainment ;) by far, number one.

If someone follows me I typically follow them back and of course if I find someone I really enjoy, I follow them whether or not they are following me.

I have more than two reasons! Most of the time I troll around and if I find someones comment interesting, I will follow them to see more. Sometimes they do not actually post blogs and then it's hard to get to know them. 

I will follow people in case of referrals, if they write well (imo) or if the speak about topics that interest me and if they follow me!

For me, following another member is simply an easy way to pay it forward. Reading their blogs is another matter.
