Depends on the state where you live.  In Virginia, we fill in blanks.  In states like NY, attorneys write them up.  

In our market, agents complete contracts.

In Washington we use prepared forms, but we are held to the same standard as an attorney. We must know what each form is intended for, apply it properly and if we ammend or add anything, it must be done right.  

In my state we fill in the blanks with the appropriate information. Your state may be different so check with your instructor.

Our contracts are prewritten by our state association legal counsel and all we have to do is fill in the banks and check boxes that apply. I do advise the client to read it carefully before signing.

In the Metro area of NYC we hardly ever even see the contract.

we prepare our own purchase and sales but ALL OF OUR SELLERS have an attorney....we send them our agreement and they usually add an addendum....on occasion, we will have an attorney that we've never worked with before do his own agreement.... it doesn't matter to us.... he takes all of the information from the offer to purchase and from our purchase and sales agreement....
