I was prevented from joining the Navy, as was my dream to fly jets, do to a major life-changing accident.

My great-grandfather was World War I Army,  my grandfather was World War II Navy,  and my stepfather was Korean War Air Force.

And I am Spartacus!

Nope, we were immigrants. 1st Russia/Poland/Germany as they moved the borders all around after WW1 & 2. Dad was in the navy. Nephew flying choppers in the Army.

No, I didn't, but my Grandfather fought in WWII.  I have no idea about older relatives, but I suppose older/older relatives were from Europe/Russia.

     Me:  Sergeant, United States Air Force, post Vietnam Era.  I served four years, Honorable Discharge.

     Relatives:  Scores of them, including Dad, Brother Joe, Grandfathers, Great Grandfathers.  We can trace our Veteran ancestors back through every War, to the American Revolution.

Only State Guard. My gggg grandfather on fathers side ( George Hardin ) served in Revolutionary War.

I did not serrve! My 93 year old uncle served! He is still spunky!

I had relatives in the Civil War and I am sure that some were in other wars. My family history has been traced back several hundred years.

My grandfather served in the Philipines early in the 20th century. i have never served but my son is active duty Navy.

Oldest living relative is my husband, Dave, who served in USN. My great-grandfather fought in Spanish-American War.

No I did not but I believe the oldest living relative is on my dads side.

Michael J. Perry Yes, I did serve in the military. I had no relatives here during WWI or earlier, so I don't really know. All my Uncles and Dad served in WWII and a couple in Korea.

Thinking a lot of my father in law this year, he just passed a few months ago.

I did not serve. I have no living relatives who served in the US military. But relatives who are alive and have served in the Dutch, German, and Russian military.

Back to WW1- my paternal grandfather.

No.  Yes, paternal grand father.  USMC & a Shellback.

Yes I did (Navy).  Pretty sure my paternal grandfather was in the Army, but I'm not positive.  My dad was for sure.
