Clinton=bad, will destroy America and sell it off to iran and isis.

#AnyoneButWarren.  My goodness, Warren could find a way to blame a smallpox outbreak from the 1800's on the banking industry.

I'm not a fan of any of the above, but I know a Warren presidency, more than all others, would be ruinous for real estate

Hillary Clinton will finish what Barack Obama started... the complete and total destruction of the United States of America.

Bernie Sanders is a Communist.  What else is there to say?

Who is Warren?  You mean Elizabeth Warren?  Not a chance.

   Biden is a fool.

That leaves... Donald Trump.  A successful Real Estate Developer!

Here's my thought. Perception becomes reality.  For 50% of the country, no matter who is elected, it will be doom and gloom and for the other 50% it will be a thought that all is right with the world.

John,

I am in Coal Infantino party of not discussing this stuff on line!  This policy is one we practice with social friends, who sometimes turn into enemies if you don't agree with them... It just is not worth it.  A

We have to start getting the elitist politiciaans out of office and replace them with real people interested in doing what is right for the people, not what will inflate their wallets

I live in Politics Central, and changes in the White House have very little impact on the market here.  The president's not "buying" the White House (hmmm, maybe that isn't totally true), and most of the cabinet and other appointees are probaly already living here.

I don't think either party nor president will impact people in my community, i.e., my niche John DL Arendsen.  It is an age-restricted community, so most of the people are no longer working, or their work is volunteer work.  No job to lose, no home to lose because of no job, no wage increase to matter, as most volunteers do not get paid.  Now an increase in taxes might be an issue, since the snowbirds have two homes (while the year-rounders do not), though their health care coverage is not through an employer, it's through Medicare.

I only know one thing...I was never interested in politics and often did not bother to vote.

I now understand dirty politics and know exactly who says what, and who now denys what they did.  I am hooked.

I am a stauch Trump supporter and no matter what he does, it will be an improvement.

Trump will do for real estate about a good as Carter was for peanuts. Everyone seems to think Trump will do all these great things, but the fact is he can't do it. I promise you there will be no wall, no 13 million immergrants shipped out, and will not wipe out the national debt. Those things are impossible to accomplish, but the fools believe it.  I do like that he is against Dodd-Frank and will get ride of Obamacare, but for the rest, he scares me and the rest of the world. With Clinton, you would get more of the same, which hasn't been too bad if you really study it. We are so much better off than 2008 and I challenge anyone to differ. I like that Clinton is considering lowering the age for people to get Medicare, as that will help millions. Biden, Warren are nonfactors, and the "old guy" will drop out by June 7th.

The end result is that we will be in trouble no matter who wins, and that is ashame. Also, stop talking about people moving to Canada. It's not going to happen.

Just look to Venezuela to see how well socialism works. My problem with a $15 min wage is this. First, these jobs were not meant as a career. They were for students and retirees. A stepping stone to gain experience, earn some money but nt support a family. Next what about the guy or girl that goes to school, learns a trade or starts out in a company, works hard and moves up that is making $15 an hour now working a skilled job not anyone can do. DO they go to $30 an hour? Carpenters, electricians, plumbers, nurses, mechanics, engineers, a chef and on??? Look to the west coast areas that have done this, look at the small businesses put out of business. When fast food switches to all automated systems, self serve kiosks, computerized cookers and sandwich makes all these jobs will be gone. WHAT HAPPENED TO STAY IN SCHOOL? STUDY? LEARN A TRADE? WORK HARD AND MOVE UP? That is the problem with the Dem strategy is that it includes giving everything for free and not teaching a trade or skill. Remember the story about give a man a fish or teach him to fish? When the amount of people climbing in the wagon is more than those pulling it, the wagon stops. As far as Warren, why she was not impeached after the big lie she was an indian to get hired at the university any way? She preaches how evil capitalism is but makes more teaching 1 class than the average american in 5-6 years.

Since all real estate is local, I'd predict that the impact in higher income areas will be different from the impact in lower income areas, and the impact in red States will be different from the impact in blue States.

Either way, at least half of the Country will be angry and blame the winner for whatever evil it sees.

I don't know that it is so much who is elected that will impact real estate in my market, your market or any other. How the stock market responds to who is elected and what happens with the Federal Reserve and interest rates would probably have a more far reaching effect than the individual who is elected.
