I was born in Germany; raised in NYC; college in Washington, DC. Have lived in NYC, San Francisco, Boston, London, Paris, Abu Dhabi, Charlotte. Don't live anywhere near my birthplace and to some degree it doesn't even exist anymore as I was born in the British Zone of West Germany after WWII in an RAF hospital which no longer stands--the place is a park now.

Born in Western SD, grew up in NW Wisconsin, have lived or worked in nearly every state since then.

I grew up in Rye Brook, NY.  Moved to Huntington Long Island at 17, from there Ronkonkoma Long Island, on to Park Slope Brooklyn for 5 years, Jersey city NJ for 2 years, back to Rye Brook, then Mount Kisco NY, Tarrytown NY, then Rye NY, into NYC for 3 years, and now I live in Scarborough Maine but my heart still remains in Rye Brook.

I was anArmy brat born at Fort Benning GA - I moved alot as a child and live in DC now - so pretty far from there - but not as far as some of our members like Endre Barath, Jr. 

Born in VA at a naval hospital. Have lived in RI (I think), HI (too young to remember dangit), CA, VA (many locations), and now CO the past 15 years.

Hubby and I have been in our house 10 years this month. Before this, the longest at one address was 4 years. It's just plain weird having spent this much time in one place.

I was born at the American University Hospital in Beirut Lebanon.  My father was Russian and my mother was French.  My formative years were spent in Lebanon and in the Middle East traveling with my parents while my father who spoke every dialect of Arabic negotiated oil deals for various international companies.  We came to the US, where I learned English.  I have live in NY, NJ, MA in School, and am happily living in California.  A

I grew up outside Chicago in the boonies suburbs of Roselle IL. In fact, our relatives did not want to visit because it was too far.  I played with cows, goats, horses & pretty much had to ride a bike a mile or so to anything.

Went to catholic grade school so I'm automatically messed up.

I've moved at least 15 times (maybe more) but always stayed in the surrounding area pretty much.

Born and raised in Chicago Illinois. Moved out of state for 26 years and just moved back!

Born within a half hour drive of Webster and have moved 11 times; almost made it to Florida but got sick on the milk in Georgia and Parents came back.

I grew up in Westchester County, just outside NYC.  Went to school in NH, moved to DC, went to B-school in Chicago, worked at P&G in Cincinnati, moved back to the area, but just over the border in CT and now I'm back in Westchester and have been for 12 yrs.

Age 18, United States Air Force.  A few months in Texas (San Antonio, Wichita Falls).  

Then Williams AFB east of Phoenix, Arizona.  I lived off-base, in apartments/houses in Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Phoenix, and Tempe. 

1979 back to Tallahassee.

I started about 30-45 minutes from where I live now.  I spent most of my "growing up" in Thousand Oaks or Moorpark, basically within maybe 10 miles (as the crow flies) of where I live now, at most.

I grew up in Franklin MA where I am presently living .....I moved only to attend college.... I live in a home in the same neighborhood where I grew up.... I taught in the same schools that I attended.... and I sold real estate for 38 years in this same town.... homeowners here have been, and continue to be, very good to me....

I'm originally from Detroit, Michigan, moved to Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan in 1970 and then to California in 1975.  There was a stint in the Army in 1968.  I moved to La Puente, California in 1975, then to Baldwin Park, Ca., then Hacienda Heights, Ca., then San Fernando, Ca., then Saugus, Ca. the and currently to Valencia, Ca.  Wow, a lot more moves than I realized.  I'm 3,000 miles from my birth place but stay in touch with many family members still.  My best friend growing up lives in Las Vegas and we are still friends.

Born on the Danish border of Germany a German citizen but went to a Danish school. Immigrated to Vancouver, Canada as a teen. Immigrated when I was old enough to leave home to the US (Hawaii) and became a citizen. Moved around some in the mid-80s. Back to Hawaii. Then to Carmel-by-the-Sea in 1995. Now back and forth between California and Hawaii as my clients need me. I consider both of them my home!

I live 300 miles from my birthplace in Southern CA. I have lived at the beaches of the South Bay,  in Palm Springs when it was still old-time glamour, near the Sunset Strip before 'nobody walked in LA', and these past 2 decades, along the Colorado River in Nevada and Arizona. One year we flew to FL, and drove back along the southern United States over 2 weeks. We decided that if we found anywhere we liked better, we would move there. We did not.
