Olga,
It is what is known as "Taboo" marketing! It catches attention and brings brand recognition. Brand recognition is an important part of marketing. A

I agree that I love his shoes. There are shoes in the ad but a lack of anything else. Is that what it's saying?
I'm betting that guys are not looking at the shoes. Just a guess.

Olga Simoncelli Are they wearing shoes? lol Just kidding! This is an old practice to get attention to these types of ads. Car companies, conventions and many others have been doing this for years. This is a little bit over the top.

It captures the attention and that is what marketing is all about. While nice shoes and comfortable, I wouldn't call their shoes as the sexiest shoes to go with this ad. I prefer Louboutin for that title.

Good morning Olga. You bet it will. It is all about name recognition, so any ad that has sexual overtones or content, will accomplish the goal.

wow, that a bit too much even for my taste. I understand that they want to be noticed, but I find such marketing to be tasteless and somehow desperate.

That ad is promoting a lot of things, but shoes is not the first to come to mind.

The ad does nothing for me and doesn't make me want to buy shoes.

The guy helping me in Nordstrom's shoe department sells me shoes. Not the ads.

If I buy anything it's shoes but this ad would not propel me to run out and look for this particular brand.

I actually love it. As an aside . . . in the early 80s I was a club DJ and part of my job was to produce and MC lunchtime fashion shows for the business clientele who dined at the restaurant during the day. We would pair furs with bikinis and lingerie, and the highest stiletto heels the models could negotiate stairs in. HUGE success and the local stores would loan us inventory any time, for a plug. It always sold their stuff as well as pricey martinis . . .

It did not sell any to me.
I know which boot/shoes I like and where to buy them, not much has changed in 30 years.

Hi Olga - I don't think I'm their target demographic - can't remember when I last wore heels - but it always interesting to see traditionally male-oriented advertising targeted at women. I'd defer to Ron and Alexandra Seigel on this one.

A bad question as I am not oe to watch or look at advertisements; if I like it I buy it. Also I do not have money invested in the company so it is their choice.

I'm in agreement with Tammy Lankford, . I do not choose to support those kind of brands.

There are actually many products that I just no longer purchase because of the distasteful ads they have.
