Nope - I don't go to CL, I don't do business on CL so I'm safe!

We steer clear of CL. I think the scammers have a hotline with CL to get the ads before anyone else. These is a serious problem and CL seems unable, or willing to correct it.

Not in a long time... I stopped putting anything on Craigs List years ago and that helped.

The words "God bless you" in a real estate ad should make the reader a bit wary.

John DL Arendsen You're right, there are probably a lot of people who don't know about this. Otherwise, the scammers wouldn't be on Craigslist.

Just about every time I use CL, after a while you get used to these, and if you use google voice for your texting then they can be blocked.

have not fallen for it but yes ... mostly on rentals and they are pretty easy to identify. people take listings all of the time and represent them as their own to try and get your identity and stuff. 

Looked at CL while looking for an apartment in Chicago. Many quoted a price well below the real rate. Stopped using it as a reference.

Always a scamma-ramma on CL. It's the wild west & you have to keep your eyes open.

I think that scammers can feel out the newbies & take advantage. I truly believe this.

Advertise on it all the time with good success.

I had a conversation yesterday with someone who was suprised that he hadn't received a reply from a Craigslist ad for a property that is "listed" far below market value.   Surprised?  Not me.  

When ever i see those words, i know 99% chance it is a scam. As well as any reply referrig to a Barrister.

Lots of scamming on Craigslist. I haven't advertised on it lately and would be cautious if I did.

craigslist is never used here in my region, most people here have never even heard of it.

No, and have not heard of any of my listings being on there either, thankfully.

I haven't done anything on Craig's List for over a year. When I did I got a few scam emails. 

I posted a rental listing on Zillow.  Within a couple hours someone stole it and posted it on Craigslist to scam people.

I no longer use Craig's list for that reason.  Many years ago before all the scam started I did. 

Don't use it much anymore, in the past I'd find my vacant listings on their for rent though!

I have never bought or sold anything on Craiglist so I have nothing to report.
