My husband and I have been using these plastic boxes for 22 years!  I love using these and we have always prided ourselves in keeping our boxes full.  We make it fun if the sellers have kids ... asking that they make it a task to include the kids to go out to the box every day to see how many brochures are left and that when they get down to 5 a call or text to our office will miraculously make another 50 brochures appear by the next day.  Cooperation is the key.  We don't have empty boxes.  If you have empty boxes you are better off not having one at all.  It just makes us all look bad.

I know agents the intentionally leave them empy because it generates phone calls telling them the flyer box is empty, at which point the agent has an actual interested buyer on the phone who took time to drive to the listing to check it out. A possible showing appointment is now in the works.

Funny, it seems to be one of those things that Sellers love, and I continue to do them. I generally print a bunch, put 10 in the flyer box, leave 50 or so with the Seller, and when the box is empty, the Seller can put more in. They (misguidedly) seem to think it will help sell the house, and I don't mind doing it.

It is hard to keep them stocked up especially on vacant homes. On occupied homes I ask my sellers to keep an eye out and let me know when they are getting low. I had one seller that counted them daily and let me know when it got down to under ten.

that is correct. People come pick it up but never make offers or look at the house. Often interested by noisy neighbors wanting to know $.

I no longer put them up, as they get wet and stick together, People don't need them anymore.  If they want information, they will find it on the internet or call the number on the sign.  I would rather they call the number than to have a flyer anyway.

Fred,

I haven’t used a flyer box in years but when I did I gave the sellers the stack of flyers and told them it was their job to keep only a few in the box at a time but always a few. If you fill the box, it looks like no one is interested enough to take one. It was amazing how diligent the sellers could be.

Very few in my area still use them.   Most use electronic services to broadcast information to your car radio.   Those that do use them give the seller some flyers initially and suggest the seller keep the box full, which includes copying the flyers if they need more.

I don't typically use boxes, unless it's a townhome or condo association that doesn't allow signs except in windows. I give the responsibility to my sellers to keep the box filled if I do use one and if property is occupied if they insist on it. Otherwise, not used at all. I believe the people use flyers like this to eliminate houses. I'd rather they call me.

Actually all of my empty flyer boxes are restocked on Thursday.

Outdated technology. "Don't do flyers'

I agree with Lisa, I thought we were 'over' those? I got tired of whoever kept taking them. I made the sellers be resposible for the watching & loading & that didn't work either.

Have 2 left I think in garage - recycle bin?

If you are doing your job right the buyer should be able to Google the address & see it too.
